  Although I live in Philly, a part of American History that has always fascinated me was the story of anthracite coal mining, the miners, and their families in Pennsylvania. The story includes the interesting aspects of the Molly Maguires, the Lattimer Massacre, the Phoebe Snow advertisements, the Strike of , the Centralia Fire, etc.   Yea but if was was not for the Deep mines and the miners that died to get the coal out of the ground which several where my family members. There would not be a coal industry today Deep mines has over a Years of history Suface mining 60 or so years There the ones that kept every one warm in the winter and help cook the food that people eat expecially in the great depression in the . The coal president never allows his stable boss to cut the amount of fodder allotted to his mules. He insists on so many quarts of oats and corn to the meal and so much hay in the evening.
